Introducing Sparks of Sabbatical
After building her nonprofit from scratch to international acclaim and approaching burnout, Omi took a life-changing three-month sabbatical. During this time, she discovered the power of rest in helping her regulate her nervous system, rediscover passion, and approach leadership with renewed clarity and strategy, laying the groundwork for Sparks of Sabbatical, an experience that integrates various methods to promote holistic well-being.

This project stems from the realization that rest is not a luxury but an essential practice that fuels long-term success and creativity.

Sparks of Sabbatical aims to inspire leaders and entrepreneurs to embrace rest as a strategic tool for sustaining their capacity to embody possibility. By promoting the idea that rest can drive productivity and innovation, Omi is challenging the notion that rest is unattainable for most. The project seeks to make rest an intentional, accessible practice, empowering people to achieve more by recognizing the vital connection between rest and their capacity to succeed.

Modalities Featured in the Sparks of Sabbatical Experience
1. Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra, often referred to as “yogic sleep,” is a deeply restorative meditation practice that guides participants into a state of profound relaxation. By focusing on specific areas of the body and entering a state of conscious awareness, Yoga Nidra allows the mind and body to reset, promoting clarity, emotional balance, and restful rejuvenation.
2. Reiki
Reiki is a gentle energy healing practice that involves channeling universal energy to balance the body's energy systems. This hands-on or hands-off technique promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and supports the body’s natural ability to heal itself, making it an ideal practice for restoring harmony and balance.
3. Sound Bath
A sound bath is an immersive auditory experience where participants are enveloped in soothing sounds from instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes. The vibrations produced by these sounds help to relax the nervous system, reduce tension, and create a meditative state that encourages mental clarity and emotional healing.
4. Massage
Therapeutic massage releases physical tension, promotes circulation, and reduces stress hormones in the body. This hands-on modality is tailored to each participant’s needs, encouraging relaxation and a heightened connection between the body and mind.
